Homebrew tap

Official distribution tap for puter, a native macOS system monitor. This is an independent tap, not Homebrew's main catalog.

brew tap soconnor/tap https://git.soconnor.dev/soconnor/homebrew-tap.git
brew install --cask soconnor/tap/puter

If your Homebrew installation asks for trust:

brew trust --cask soconnor/tap/puter

Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or newer. The app is Developer ID signed and Apple notarized; Liquid Glass styling requires macOS 26 or newer.

puter includes Sparkle updates from 1.3.0 onward. Automatic installation is optional in Settings → Software updates. Homebrew can also manage upgrades:

brew update
brew upgrade --cask soconnor/tap/puter

If puter is already installed manually, move that copy out of /Applications before installing through Homebrew. Do not use --force to overwrite it blindly.

For maintainers: update the cask version and SHA-256 only after publishing and verifying the notarized release. livecheck reads puter's Sparkle feed, but does not automatically commit new cask versions.
